![]() Lets hear about your choices.īob, I see almost universal praise of the Fire Hose pants and even though they are pricey I would be willing to buy them if they fit me well. I need a full seat and thigh but certainly not a tent either. I am not one of those simian built, no bum types. So before I drop 60-70 dollars on a pair I wanted some feedback from you chaps about fit. Great pocket layout on BOTH legs which is great for southpaws like me. I saw a coworker with the Duluth firehouse pants yesterday and they easily look like the toughest I have seen. Pliers tips rub at the knee joint which is irritating. Ill fitting and the pockets are too low on the leg. ![]() I just bought two pair of Wolverine brand but lord knows who really makes them. I think Carhartt is living off their reputation now. I have looked at Carhartt and they do not look well enough made to warrant their price. I have worn similar Dickies and while they are better made the pockets are lacking. Cheap build quality so they wear out fast. I have worn the generic Wrangler brand carpenter jeans from Walmart and they do not impress. ![]() I have gravitated to the carpenter/utility/cargo styled trousers the last decade or so because I constantly need quick access to hand tools and device parts. I wore Wrangler's 13mwz rigid denim for years. Gents, being a blue collared tradesman my day to day uniform is company provided polo type shirt and whatever trouser I choose to wear(within reason) for obvious performance and durability needs. ![]()
